What places have laws against putting items on your dashboard, like a bobbling hula doll, or similar objects?
Are there any US States that prohibit such objects? I know in California you cannot put a GPS’s in certain places, so I am wondering specifically about little dashboard toys that move on the dashboard. I am also wondering if there are such rules in other countries?

I don’t know about other countries, but I do know that in California you can have a little bobbing head doll on your dash board and get away with it as long as it doesn’t block your view of the road. The problem with the GPS systems was they are so large that the screen was partially blocking the view of the driver and making it so that they couldn’t always see other cars on the road.
I have friends who once went on a car trip with a full size disco ball hanging from their rear view mirror. One mile from their house they were pulled over by the cops and given a ticket for having an object obscuring the vision of their car, they removed it, but the officer still gave them the ticket because it is the law after all. And a full size disco ball is ridiculously big to have on a car’s rear view mirror.
