does anyone have the recipe/formula for a liquid fondant (or any other edible material).?
I want to make a doll sized cake topper (for a baby shower), from a mold that I am going to make from silicone.
When you “mold” fondant to a shape…you don’t have it in a liquid form. You take the fondant dough and knead it until it is very pliable…then you just press it in the mold very tightly so you have no air bubbles. You immediately dump the fondant from the mold and it will hold its shape. Let the fondant dry for 2 to 8 days, depending on the thickness of the figure you made.
If your mold is going to be really large and you want the figure to be hollow, you can just press the fondant in the mold until all of the outer surface is covered and the fondant is about 2 inches thick. You would then need to let the fondant dry while still in the mold so it would hold its shape when you remove it.

If you want to form the topper from a liquid then you would need to use melted white chocolate. To use it you just get white chocolate and melt it (not hot just warm).
